Think 7

I found two cool blogs for Think 7.

The first is PowerPoint reform.  http://www.schoollibraryjournal.com/blog/1340000334/post/130020413.html

The second is Wandering Ink.

Both are good points on how to bring creativity to the classroom and how students thrive on creativity to engage in learning.  My own daugther is an artistic soul who is now at Savannah College of Art and Design.  There her creativity is allowed to run free.  In high school, she was very academic, but boxed in artistically.

I highly recommend both links for reading!

Starting again!

Well, it’s fall and I’m starting the class again.  Things were too hectic in the spring for me.  I really like the RSS feeds and want to play with them more.

Happy Fall!

Thing 3

2/21/08 This is my first blog for a class.  I’m interested in learning about blogging to keep up technological changes.

3/19/08 Task 1, Thing 1 – I’m way behind, but determined.  The habits most challenging to me will be to catch up and not let a problem get me down.  As a lifelong learner, I will enjoy using technology to my advantage and keep up with it.  My major was computer science, but I lost my career due to carpal tunnel in both wrists.  I’m interested to see how using all the bells and whistles of the class affects the ergonomics of safe computer keyboarding and mousing.

Task 2 from Thing 1:  Web 2.0 seems to be the natural progression in technology.  I feel it will help business as well as the educational field.  The social networking is nice for groups to stay “on the same page” and to keep up with the entire group.
